Award-winning author, LaConnie Taylor-Jones, a native Memphian, is a health educator consultant and holds advanced degrees in community public health and business administration. Married, she is the mother of four and resides with her family in Northern California.
For over twenty-five years, Ms. Taylor-Jones has been an avid romance reader. In the summer of 2003 a challenge from her husband made her seize the opportunity to blend her enthusiasm for teaching health, social responsibility and social justice with her love for reading the genre. Her experience as a health educator sparked a multitude of storylines and her romance, which she defines as the spirit of adventure, played a pivotal part in her road to publication. In a little over four years, she’s authored three full-length novels. In 2008, Ms. Taylor-Jones was the recipient of the 2008 Romance Slam Jam Emma Award for Debut Author of the Year for When I’m With You.
Ms. Taylor-Jones is an active member of the Contra Costa Alumnae chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the African American Community Health Advisory Committee, Black Women Organized for Political Action, and the San Francisco Area and Black Diamond chapters of Romance Writers of America.

Jackie Moore is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in religion and offers spiritual words of encouragement daily on her website http://www.virtuousliving.com. and her myspace page http://www.myspace.com/mamajacq. She and her two sons, James and Joseph reside in Detroit, Michigan.
She is also a contributing author to several anthologies including 2008 releases, Triumph of my Soul, Stories of Hope, Triumph and Inspiration, Journeys of Love, Voices of the Heart, and Gumbo for the Soul, Here’s our Child Where is the Village.

Elissa Malcohn’s novelette “Lazuli” (Asimov’s, Nov. 1984) made her a 1985 John W. Campbell Award finalist for best new science fiction writer of the year. Her short story “Moments of Clarity” (Full Spectrum, Bantam, 1988) reached preliminary ballot for the 1989 Nebula Awards. Commenting on “Moments of Clarity” in his review of Full Spectrum in the November, 1988, Out of This World Tribune, Bruce D. Arthurs wrote, “This one story is worth the price of the entire book.”
Elissa’s work also appears in publications that won awards in 2009. IPPY Silver Medalist Riffing on Strings: Creative Writing Inspired by String Theory (Scriblerus Press) contains her story “Arachne” (originally published in Aboriginal Science Fiction, Dec. 1988). Bram Stoker Award winner Unspeakable Horror: From the Shadows of the Closet (Dark Scribe Press) contains her story “Memento Mori.” Her story “Hermit Crabs” in Hugo Award winner Electric Velocipede (#14) and her novelette “Flotsam” in Asimov’s (Oct./Nov. 2009) made the recommended reading list in The Year’s Best Science Fiction, 26th and 27th Annual Collections, respectively.
Elissa’s work has appeared in dozens of publications since the 1970s. Covenant, the first volume of her Deviations series, was originally published by the now-defunct Aisling Press in 2007.
Elissa edited Star*Line, the journal of the Science Fiction Poetry Association, from 1986-88 and was a four-time Rhysling Award nominee for best speculative poetry of the year.
Outside the genre, Elissa won first prize in the Woodview Coffee House 2010 song-writing contest.

Welcome To My Site!
I grew up in a small mountain community in the beautiful California Sierras. I have eight sisters and one brother. My love of romance novels started early on and I often times found myself lost in the authors version of life and love. It was then that I knew I would one day write romance. Thirty three years, one husband and four grand-babies later I finally sat down to my lap top and started writing.
My fist manuscript still sits in a drawer and one day I might submit it. My next three manuscripts were soon published. My current projects are well under way and I can hardly wait to share them with my readers.
After attending college in the 80’s I began a long career working with medical insurance, and now after what seems like a lifetime, I am able to work on my goals as a romance and horror/fantasy novelist.
